San Roque Dam Pangasanian August 2009

In August 2009, we took a little ride to San Roque Dam. Wrench had spend over a year working up here several years ago and we decided it was time to get back to check out his handy work......The Agno River north of Luzon spans 221 kilometers in length, running through three municipalities: San Manuel and San Nicolas in Pangasinan, and Itogon in Benguet. It is often called "the river of dreams" because of its great potential to support the lives of the residents of the communities it traverses.

The San Roque Multipurpose Project or SRMP was built beginning 1998 to harness the power of the Agno River, bringing these benefits to several communities in the heart of Luzon: flood control, irrigation, electrical power and improved water quality.
